Anyone that doesn't mind paying $55 a month for data has nothing in common with me.
I'm curious to know what the amount of data used would be if you spent 24/7 downloading @ 14.4kbps for a month
In a 28 day month, 4.355 GB*
In a 29 day month, 4.51 GB*
In a 30 day month, 4.666 GB*
In a 31 day month, 4.821 GB*
* Theoretical maximum
In the real world, speed would vary from moment to moment and would be slower than the theoretical limit of 14.4Kbps.
Some of us don't spend all of our time on the phone. My wife and I used to split about 550 minutes a month on Sprint. Now I use the $12 plan for 250 minutes / 250 text on Pageplus without going over. Data was a problem because I get a lot of email. I might have been able to get away with using the $29.95 plan that includes 100mb of data i suppose. Pageplus doesn't have a good data plan till you get to the $55 plan. If you could buy DATA for a decent price QNC wouldn't be so attractive. My QNC is working well everywhere I go and I primarily use it for email. Very little surfing. The android market is great and it has a lot of stuff but let's face it only a fraction of what is in Android market is truly unique. Remove all of the clones and junk from Android market and there isn't really that much there. The two Android applications I use most are Angry birds and solitaire. Solitaire works just fine on WinMO so WinMo will be fine for me for the moment. I would love to upgrade to Android however if the QNC was workable because I like the Android interface and I have been developing my own custom apps for that platform.
Anyone figure out threaded text messaging on the Storm yet?
