Hey so i just wanted some tips on how to go about things, im in the process of leaving Verizon soon because the bill is too high and CS hasn't been that great lately with the new BS they are pulling with me and other factors. So i have a phone i want to use already and was gonna port in a month when i had the cash for the ETF. So whats the best way to go about it? I see you can use the site to port your info over and stuff like that. Anyone wish to chime in?
pay the etf and port

I meant more like the best porting process to go? Im thinking of doing the 40 dollar plan because my usual lately usage is close to 100 mb and my talk and text is fine where it is. I rather have that Unlimited so i don't run out of either. I will get the 55 plan but right now i really wish to save money for time being.
The port form on the PPC website works fine. If you're more comfortable using a PPC dealer, the one with ads that are displayed on HoFo is reputable.

My PagePlus Phone History---11 Years & Counting
- Ericsson AF738, Jul 01 - Dec 03, Std Plan, $30/Yr
- Qualcomm QCP 2760, Dec 03 - Feb 08, Std Plan, $30/Yr
- LG VX-8600, Feb 08 - Apr 10, Std Plan, $30/Yr
- Samsung Omnia SCH-i910, Apr 10 - Nov 11, Std Plan, $80/Yr
- HTC Droid Incredible, Nov 11 - Present, Std Plan, $80/Yr
Over the phone with customer service (800 550-2436) or via the Pageplus website are equally easy and free.
make sure that you have your account information and pass codes on hand from your other carrier to initiate the port and then number can be switched to pageplus service in anywhere from 10min to a couple hours if done on a weekday through pageplus.
So really quick what is the pass/pin code to port over? Is it the last 4 of my social? I so can't wait to get a cheaper bill and get away from Verizon contracts lol.

+1 on using the form. May also be able to use the live chat if you do that during business hours.
Many people use PP to save money and paying a third party to do something you can do easily for free seems to defeat that goal
Ok well what is the pin code I'm looking for? My lady question before I port tomorrow

Your pin code or password is the password you have to give them when you talk to them on the phone. Sometimes called billing password. You probably gave them one to use when you first signed up with verizon.
Before you port out, call VZW CS and tell them you're porting out, and make SURE you have the right acct # and PIN - have them give you your PIN if you're not sure. If the port gets messed up it's a nightmare. But if you have the right info, it's a piece of cake. You can add the money / plan to the phone at any time after porting, so you don't need to have pre-purchased your plan unless you just want to get up & running ASAP.
So i ported yesterday and everything went very smooth i can tell it didn't even take 10 minutes to finish porting. I receive a text just fine and my calls, texts and data all work flawlessly!! Which is great and im loving the Unlimited Talk and Text Plus 100MB of Data plan its awesome and cheap! One other question besides going on the website to check my usage how else can i check it? An app or something?
3G Watchdog will work.
Send a text to 7243 with Bal in it. It will cost you 1 text message to send. The one you get back is free.

If your phone uses Android OS, you might want to review this thread regardless of brand
