923SH MR SIM Hypersim not mm unlocked?

Hello everyone! I have a 923SH and a mr sim hypersim. I updated my hypersim with the mr sim updater via a sim card reader and then slipped it into my keitai. Didn't work still said "out" slipped the hypersim and my at&t sim card into my unlocked Motorola rizr and managed to get a signal with a triangle though. Took it out of my rizr and put it into my keitai. Got at&t signal on my keitai with a little briefcase next to the signal bars. Calling in and out, Japanese voicemail, texting in and out works, but it's not unlocking the camera? Keeps saying please retrieve network information first. But it's already connected??

Any help guys?

yah. MM is locked for non Softbank sim cards. This has been discussed a gazillion times. please use search button.

OH! I thought if you use a certain hypersim that it would unlock the camera and media? I've seen it on youtube videos and they are using a Mr SIM hypersim and they are able to use their camera.

Basically any hypersim is capable of unlocking the camera & media functions. You just need to slap an active SoftBank sim card on the hypersim, retrieve the NW settings and then replace the SoftBank card with your own sim card.

Getting the active SB card is the hard part.

Well then that's good That's usually the stumbling step for non-Japan-based SoftBank keitai users lol, which is why you can find them for cheap now. Not many people want to have to deal with the mm lock.
