Tmobile should offer the straight Talk plan

I would rather pay tmo my $45 a month than tracfone. Same network.

You could go for the value plan instead of monthly4G prepaid, still no contract, 500 minutes, unlimited text, 2 GB data before throttling. It's a worse deal for a single line since you have a limit on your minutes and it costs $5 more per month, but as soon as you start adding lines it gets better. $80 for two lines with 1000 shared minutes, $95 for three, $15 for each additional line. Whereas with Straight Talk it's $45 per line no matter how many lines you have.

Ack, I didn't even realize that!

So basically you trade a phone subsidy for a plan discount but either way you are on a 2-year contract? What happens after 2 years, do you have to renew the contract to keep the lower rate or can you just stay off contract with the value plan rate?

With the rough equivalent being $60/month on T-mobile, one would think that T-mobile will do something to remain competitive.

You would lose the roaming tracfone offers as well as the ability to use some AT&T phones such as the iPhone on 3G. However if they were upfront with their data limits it would be worth considering.

don't bother with straight talk. use the data and they ban you. and nobody knows the real amount. had it happen to a buddy and hes hasn't hit the caps of any other career.
some say its low as 500mb. carriers like that should not be selling smart phones.

The threads on the Straight Talk forum seem to imply that they're more lenient with customers on the T-Mobile sim than with people on the AT&T network, but that's just anecdotal evidence. Has anyone with Straight Talk on T-Mobile gotten in trouble for overuse of data?
