That was my concern as well but I chatted with a T-Mobile rep on their site and they said you can refill and start a fresh month at any time.

Amateurs. I ordered the same prepaid stick and got an email that it is out of stock and free upgrade to Rocket. That's all good. The bad is they cc:ed (in plain text) the 1100 people who ordered. And now that started a vicious thread of people responding to all on that saying 'Why did you release my email to 1100 other strangers'.

Boo! Hiss! Better send me a free mifi!
Go GSM! Switch phones on demand.

The Rocket 2.0 doesn't support USB 3.0 like the Jet 2.0 does.

Am I missing something?
Seems to me that if you do that regularly, it's less trouble to do the $50 pass. Especially if you set it up on an auto pay system.

3.5 gb is good for 60 days instead of 30 so works out to be 17.5 month

How is that true...when I pull it up on the site, it says 30 days???

    EDIT:

The 60 day plan is not directly sold by T-Mobile....walmart stocks this.

No, you can't ! I put the sim in a tmobile galaxy s, couldn't get connection. I also tried it with jet 2.0 USB modem, doesn't work either. It's locked down to the hotspot

So, this lack of flexibility is not good for me and renders all USB, sticks obsolete, clearence material..

I'm using a SIM on the old PBTD plan in a Rocket 4G laptop stick which gives me access to the T-Mobile walled garden. I haven't activated the MBB SIM that came with the stick. I'm wondering if I do use the Rocket's IMEI to activate the MBB SIM will I then be unable to use my voice plan SIM in it for data access the way I can now. I haven't tried the $2 or $3 PBTD because I haven't needed full access enough to try a new SIM yet.

Has your Jet laptop stick IMEI been used to activate a MBB SIM? If so, can you use a voice SIM in it to access data?

BTW on the slickdeals forum two posters have reported that they were able to use the $15 MBB refill cards to fund their voice prepaid accounts - one on a $30 monthly plan and the other on either a PBTD or PBTM account.

I did buy the Rocket 4G. Got The MBB from Walmart too. I was not able to use the SIM in a phone: I got redirected. Also tried to use my Phone SIM in the stick and it did not work either. So both ways it does not work. Yes I did get the $60. But I had to call the Rep told them to put on that plan. While I activated it did not work. It only apply the $35 on my account. They told me it's a glitch in their system. It seems the reps can put you on either the Walmart special or the regular plan.
Yes you can use refill cards both ways. The MBB on voice account and the regular Voice PIN on MBB account. That's nice that way you can still get the discount from Callingmart and keep the Walmat 60 days special. Once you're on the 60 days special you renew it online. You do not have to go to walmart.

Anybody intersted, I'm selling the rocket 4G. I got it loaded with $50 already but decided I will keep using the $30 plan since I get much more data and I can use it thru my phone and share with my tablet. So I will sell the stick for $20 + $70 = $70. This is the rocket 4g which is rated 42mbps.

Question: did anyone verify if the 60 day card works for devices purchased from T-Mobile (and not from Walmart directly?) I have a Jet 2.0 that I bought refurbished, and would like to get that 60 day pass.
Internet at work and with a Nexus 4 on Straight Talk with AT&T.
