Both Wind and Mobilicity will give you poor reception in basement & generally indoors.
Obviously there are some locations where basement coverage will be excellent (if the tower is nearby).
I had to switch to the Big 3 to get decent coverage indoors after trying both Wind and Mobilicity.

Fido, Koodo and Virgin are good alternatives if you need data.

If you don't need data, Chatr is probably the best.

Wouldn't that solve your problem of not able to use your Mobi phone in the basement?

Not really - I live on 20th floor and my car is parked in 2nd level of basement

Yes but you can try avoiding making calls while out of zone. Atleast you get calls. I am paying for roaming on Mobilicity too. Koodo have this exciting no roaming plan.. Website dont tell how much would you be charged

Well Chatr did not had any dedicated retail outlet. They were using other vendors to sell their connections.

Chat-r data is only 100MB and if they do not have their own locations how can they close them?!

With chatr, once you are out of the "Zone", your phone doesnt read CDN Roaming, it reads "Chatr". You wont know when you are out of the zone. You may very well be IN zone but connected to a tower outside.
