You are 100% correct. I see too many people dismiss a brand because they had an issue with a previous model.
You guys are not understanding. Its no secret that USCC has the worst phone selection out there. Mine is just an example and all I'm saying is I don't wanna get a new one because there is nothing worth getting right now.

I acknowledged that you don't like uscc's phone lineup, and that is perfectly fine for your situation, but pointed out that your particular phone being faulty is not an example of, nor proof that uscc's phone lineup is "crappy". It's unrelated.

I, too, made that mistake back in '02/'03 when my first phone was faulty, and each of the 3 replacements wound up being faulty as well. Yeah, the V120t kinda soured me on Moto for quite a while, unfortunately. I know better now, but at the time had very little cell phone experience.
For a basic phone, though, I still think my old Nokia 8265 and 3586i were tops. They didn't have a lot of high-end features, but they did the basic phone features excellently. And the 3586i's ringer has yet to be matched in loudness from any phone I've had or played with. It went off one night while I was standing in a parking lot just after I got it, and a guy heard it 3 rows away. Not to mention I was in the middle of the row and he was at the end. He initially though it was his phone going off. Yeah, I loved that ringer.

I'm not sure, but I believe the are other states that do as well. One thing in California, we are quite a ways ahead of most of the country on consumer laws, I won't go into politics but I think it has a lot to do with what party dominates in a state.
