I have an older Moto with 200 Tracfone minutes I'd like to transfer onto a Moto v325i which was in service with Verizon. I have the XP drivers which allow my PC to charge the v325i. How do I proceed to make the transfer?

Are you talking about transferring Tracfone minutes onto a Verizon V325i and continuing to operate it on Verizon service? Or are you talking about transferring Tracfone minutes onto the V325i and using the V325i on Tracfone?
If the V325i is not a Tracfone phone, then you can't transfer Tracfone minutes onto it. Tracfone only operates with Tracfone phones.
Damn. You had me going there. I thought the post was from a knowledgeable person at Tracfone.com. From what I have read Tracfone operates on the hardware owned by all the various carriers. As an engineer, I am quite certain the codes that "make it a Tracfone" can be loaded onto the unit in an operation exactly like flashing the BIOS in PC's and other electronics. I have done this numerous times. I can get the software to do the programming/reprogramming; obtaining the code itself might be difficult, depending on the willingness of Tracfone's technical people to cooperate. Please refer me to your engineering department where I can request the code.
Thanks
You can't just turn any phone into a Tracfone. For the most part, you must buy the phone from Tracfone. Their programming is burned into the phone. This is why you also can't take a Tracfone to another phone company as well. The only exception I know if is the new "Bring Your Own Phone" program which is a monthly unlimited plan. Since it is unlimited, you wouldn't transfer the minutes to this phone.
You can transfer those 200 minutes onto another Tracfone branded phone. Good luck

Tracfone doesn't have BYOD -- Bring Your Own Device. You are thinking of Net10. Tracfone and Net10 don't interact although many people mistakenly think they do. They are separate even though they are both owned by America Movil.
Just as Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile have no connection even though they are both owned by Sprint.
There would be no point in what you are trying to do, since your phone would never be accepted onto the network anyway. It would be obvious that it isn't a real Tracfone. Those carriers are not as dumb as you think they are. They have special contracts with Tracfone, and they know one when they see one.
The hardware is not just reflashed carrier hardware. It is made to Tracfone's specifications from older phone designs and has to be approved on its own merits. A lot of features are removed or dumbed down. Still, if all you need is basic, reliable, simple service, Tracfone is hard to beat. It tends to be more suitable for hardy types, though, since CS can be an ordeal.
