    Newbie .....again

I finally joined the 21st Century and got a smartphone ~ and boy do I feel stupid.

New phone, new carrier, new OS...its a lot to learn and get used to after using LG basic phones and Verizon for almost 10 years.

I could probably use some help and various opinions.

Where do you prefer to save your contacts to?
    - phone
    - SIM
    - T_Mobile Contacts Backup
    - email

    Any particular reason/s why?

What phone did you get? Is it running Android.

I would recommend saving contacts to your phone, and they will sync with Google Contacts automatically (backing them up for you).

Wirelessly posted (Samsung Galaxy Nexus: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_6_3; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.16 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0 Safari/533.16)

Android can sync your contacts on your Google account (mainly your gmail).

Some of it will be determined by the phone you use. Some smartphones don't use the SIM directly and will ask to "import" contacts from the SIM.

The advantage of saving contacts to the SIM is that if you decide to use another device and use that SIM all your contacts will be with you. A disadvantage is that SIMs hold less information and you may not be able to put all the information you wish on the SIM.
