If the LG Optimus is any indication....never.

But if WIND doesn't drop the ball, I imagine they can do it soon. I've been running the TMOUS release for the past 2 weeks with no major issues.

I do miss my wifi hotspot, but~

I'm not seeing it on the TMOUS build that I have (2.14.531.1710RD). It could just be that it's located somewhere I'm not seeing.

Gave in and emailed HTC about the ICS update for Winds HTC Amaze.. said that Wind says "when we get it from HTC" so i asked when are they sending it to wind basically, this is the responce i got today

I know how important it is to have the latest software available on your Amaze. I’ll be glad to help you. ICS updates for the Amaze are expected to release between June and July this year. Our goal is to give every customer the best possible experience on every phone. Every HTC phone is a combination of a unique HTC hardware and software experience and a core operating system, and thus, it can take some time for updates to be crafted and made available, as we want to make sure it will run as best as possible when released.

If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to let me know. Thanks for being an HTC customer and taking the time to contact us.

So most likely, by the end of July we should have it. That's slow man. I believe Telus customers already received their ICS update.

Everything is working great including hotspot.

I went to Niagara Falls to watch the walk on Friday and it stayed on WIND all the way and at the falls.
It went to roaming maybe 10 mins but then jumped back to WIND.

Not sure if this update made it better from my memory, I think I had to manually set it before for it to always stay.

Had ZERO issues so far but keep in mind that I did not have issues before so hard to really compare.

I did this update for both myself and my wife and so far, no issues at all.

For those thinking about it, just do it, I see nothing that will hard this unless you may be using a special Android app this is not 4.0 compatible as of yet.

Recommended to go over wifi as it is a large download

When I got the Amaze first, my wife had the Nexus S and I went many places and I could not find any difference in reception. Not sure if the new software will may the reception any better but with the original firmware, it was exactly same as Nexus S.
