Anybody other than Simple Mobile offer International Text?

Looking for a GSM MVNO who offers international texting. It did not look like ST did, not sure about Red Pocket or T-Mobile. Any others? I live in the Chicago area, BTW.

Are you talking about international text 'package'?

All the GSM MVNOs I have tested do support international texting, with different rates.

I'm in the same dilemma as you. I researched this for 3 months. My wife has an iPhone and I've been looking for companies that do international sms since she texts her family overseas. She was on Simple Mobile before and when I got her the iPhone, I had to switch her to the Airvoice Wireless $10 monthly plan with it being an AT&T mvno. She wasn't big on data anyway so data wasn't an issue. International sms is included @ $0.20 per message sent without having to buy the additional $10 cash card. I was going to switch her back to Simple Mobile so she could at least have edge data since I was able to get it unlocked through AT&T but I'm still holding off on porting back due to the Tracfone/Simple Mobile buyout. I don't want to port back to Simple and then all of a sudden, have the plans change. All the other GSM providers/mvnos offer packages.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I was talking about plans that include international texting at no additional charge. I am aware that many of the plans will allow you to text but charge per text for it.

I did some more research, and Red Pocket charges $0.10 / text for international. T-Mobile has a $10 package that adds unlimited text and voice calling to some countries and unlimited text + reduced rate calls to a bunch of other countries.

How did you find out that Red Pocket charges 0.10/text?

I just used *777# to check the balance. I am on the PAYG plan. I just sent a SMS to the UK and the Philippines.

The only option besides Simple is Att Gophone's $2 a day unlimited talk and messaging plan. No data options unfortunately . Many Att mvnos and Simple offer various amounts of international talk though.

That's true, but only for the Straight Talk Android phones that run on Sprint.

Per RP's new help site (see below link) which is a very helpful tool btw, international txt messages are 10 cents per outgoing and free incoming.
