My start-up company has been relying on Verizon cellphones as our phone provider to business calls (not any particular model, just whatever is on sale at the time and will receive email). The price and effectiveness is getting a little out ofhand. I've been considering switching us over to a VOIP provider but I don't want to drain more money into a large, unnecessary system. What internet connection would be best to ensure there's no break-up in the service? Who would you recommend?

If you are planning to switch to VOIP, then any internet provider offering a decent bandwidth will do. The VOIP providers provide you with low-bandwidth VOIP soft phones. So, that is not a constraint. However, a good internet connection may yield a better Average Call Duration. I am also using VOIP services from The Real PBX. Though my internet bandwidth is not too good, yet I do not face any problems with calling.
Switching to a VoIP phone system can cut your costs immensely. Using a phone system that runs on high-speed internet connection also ensures that you won't have to deal with dropped calls. Another big plus is that there is no differentiating between long-distance calls and local calls. some providers can work with your current phone system; all you would have to do is switch to their phone lines. I would say VoIP is definitely the way to go, the price is affordable and the options are endless.
