Does anyone know of cases or holsters for this ohone? I have checked ebay but nothing jumps out.
I am prefer holsters to cases and a flip holster, if such a thing existed, would be great.
Mine has arrived, but seeing as I am at work, I can't carck it open right now.

As I said, being at work, I can't really do too much right now, but here it is pictured next to the 501C to compare with.

This is exciting!
What does the packaging state about screen size? 2.8"?
Mine got here at 2 pm, about an hour earlier than usual. I have it charging now.
Yes, the LCD is 2.8" TFT. The slider keyboard seems smaller than on the Sam T401g or Sam T404g but actually the keys span the same area. It is the blank margins around the keyboard that account for the difference in keyboard sizes.
The power jack is microUSB and the headset jack is 3.5mm.
The phone overall is the same size as the LG 800 but the screen of the LG 800 is slightly wider. I had hoped it would be a little larger, about the size of the Moto EX124, but no. Oh well, it'll do.
I am going to activate with the cheapest Value Plan ($10 50 mins/1 month) to confirm that TMFL is in effect. Should give 150 mins. I remember the first Trac Sam T404's only gave single time -- no DMFL or TMFL. So I'll check that even though they were advertised TMFL.
If somebody can tell me how to upload photos to some photo storage website I can try to get started on that. I don't have photobucket or any of those sites so I would need suggestions on which ones to look into.
More to come.
I just sent an email from the phone to my pc. Not a text, an email. It charged .3 mins, the same charge as a text, and the server was @vtext.com. I can check the picture messaging server later.
Pictured next to the Rumor Reflex from Boost. Will shoot video soon, I hope.

I just emailed a picture from the phone to my pc. It came through correctly and the server was @mypixmessages.com. This was email, not picture messaging. The charge was 1.00 min connection charge plus .5 per minute which is the same -- picture messaging, email with picture and data all charge the same.
Then I emailed a pic from my pc to the phone using the mms server @mypixmessages.com and that arrived at the phone through correctly with the same charges.
Now I'm off to read the tutorial. Signing off for a while ....
Good info so far, thank you!
I will check in tomorrow and see how you guys are doing. I am curious about the GPS and data transfer capabilities (if any).
My first post (Literally!) asks a bunch of questions. One of which is, can photos and music be transferred to/from a PC using the USB port, or can this be done only through the SD card?
Hello, and thank you for letting us know about the LG 505C. I am one of those who has been waiting with high hopes for this phone. But now that it is finally here, Annepani mentioned the Samsung S390G. So of course, I had to research it, and now I am torn. Hopefully someone here can help me decide. I apologize for the questions, I have not previously owned a Tracfone.
*Does the 505C have a 3.5mm headphone jack? The S390G user manual specifically points it out, but the 505C does not.
*Do either of these phones have GPS enabled? Or can they be through downloading an app/program?
*And speaking of downloading, can either of these phones download photos directly to a laptop through their USB port? Or is the SD card the only way to do that?
*What are the screen sizes of these phones?
*Newbie question, with the S390G, one can surf the internet without time/URL limitations via Wi-Fi? But if Wi-Fi is not available, one must use their minutes to connect via Tracfone, and have their URL access restricted by the Tracfone portal?
*Last question (assuming the S390G is soon available), which would you purchase and why?
Thanks in advance!
How fat is the phone? I hate having fat things in my pocket.
Where is the microSD card located?
Is it beneath the battery? I hate removing the battery just to access my microSD.
Can you connect the 505c to the computer via cable and access the microSD card that way?
Is the dreaded "browser" button still there? If it is, is there a way to change the location of this evil button?
Can you take pictures with the 505c and post it here? Everyone wants to know the quality of the pictures. Yes, I know, it won't compete with modern smartphones, I just want to know if it's comparable or more superior than that of my LG500G.
How's the mp3 player on the 505c? I hate, but grown to get used to, the mp3 player of my LG500g.
Sorry for all the questions.
