    htc incredible data

I have a htc incredible phone. It works great for calls etc. I can not figure out how to use data features. It just gives me a message like no connection available. I can use web based features as long as I have a wifi connection. Otherwise it is like a brick. Is there a way or setting I need to change to allow it to use my data to connect to web, e-mail etc. Thanks!

Data should work by default. Try each of these one at a time to see if it fixes your issues. Test your connection after each.

    1. First make sure that in your mobile settings data is clicked on and set to use the "home" data network.

    2. If that doesn't work use the customer service chat feature and talk to a rep at Pageplus. Have them verify that data is enabled on your account.

    3. If you have all your apps and contacts backed up do a hard reset of the phone. after its done call *22890 to reprogram your phone

    4. If you've tried everything else you can contact PP and ask them to do an ESN reset it may just be an issue on their end where your account isn't being authenticated right

Better find out what plan he's on before opening up the data fund drain.

To the OP, if you're on the Standard Plan, you'll find most here are doing what you're already able to. Cellular data costs $0.99 per MB. If you're on one of the monthlies it's a different story. Proceed with caution. But with regard to the technicalities, Icebook laid it all out nicely.

+1 on the ESN Reset suggestion. I reactivated my W385 briefly back in February and was having issues. I emailed PP CS requesting an ESN reset. All was well the following morning. The only issue is that the followup email didn't come until a couple days later.

Data on my DInc is iffy if I'm getting a poor signal (0-1 bar). Do you have trouble with getting a 3G connection even when you have a strong signal?

I updated the PRL & that improved the data a bit on my Dinc.
