    2nd vs. 3rd generation i7 processor

Anyone have experience with the newest version of the i7? Is there a significant increase in performance between the two generations? Will it typically be worth the price bump? Any advice would be much appreciated!

What are you going to be doing? If you're just surfing the web and that sort of thing you probably won't notice any difference.

HD streaming doesn't take much processing power.

What resolution monitors are you powering?

Is this going into a laptop or desktop? Either way you're probably better off saving a few bucks with the older processor and buying a beefy graphics card.
