Would you mind enlightening us as to what carrier you'd be getting this phone for?
A quick Google search tells me this is a fairly entry-level device, will it be enough? What's your budget, your experience with smartphones?

Looking for recommendations for a decent smart phone with a side-slide out keyboard. Prefer one with no contract. Thanks for any opinions.
I am leaning towards the LG Optimus Q, unless anyone talks me out of it.

I have no experience with smartphones, I just want a decent phone for calling, texting and some limited web browsing. I do not want a contract, I am open about carriers. I have used Virgin Mobile and Net10 prepaid services before. My current phone is an LG900 using Net-10 prepaid.
The phone isn't that great, call quality is poor.
Budget: I would like to stay under 200.00
I think Samsung Stratosphere (Verizon) is the best at QWERTY slide phone present...
