jcalder we spend the money either way on getting the handset whether it is a BB or I-phone (the 0$ phones do not meet our needs), so it would be nice to have a better choice. Simple as that. Rogers is actively courting our business, MTS is not.

Prior to HSPA MTS made sense, now it does not make financial sense, the contracts that we have gotten from Rogers are saving us money. MTS has not wanted to match them. Simple facts here in our choice to change providers. Pity and I know of a number of my colleagues whom all have started to switch from MTS to Rogers.

So you're saying your Rogers contracts are better, your Rogers phone selection is better and your Rogers coverage is the same.

So you're moving exclusively to Rogers. Congratulations. Yet you still find the need to come to the MTS forum and complain about MTS. Even though, according to you, across the board Rogers is superior.

That's like me going to a Chevy forum and telling them Ford is better. It's pointless and stupid.

Perhaps you should venture to the Rogers forum and talk about how much you enjoy Rogers and stop worrying about what MTS does since you don't like MTS and you're not going to be using their services anymore?

Also, you never answered my question. What can Android do better in a business sense than an iPhone or Blackberry?

Why are you being so sarcastic? Does it make you feel better? The only reason I question all your MTS bashing and ridicule is because I don't understand it. When I hate something as much as you apparently hate MTS I just avoid it.

Actually, I did hate MTS just as much as you seem to. That's why I switched to Rogers. Then I came to realize that there is no point in being so crabby about things.

If you're still under contract for 2 years, shouldn't you be concerned about waiting out the contracts? You shouldn't be able to get new handsets during those contracts anyway, so who cares what MTS offers as handsets? Not to mention if you signed the contracts, that means you agreed to them in the first place which places you at fault, not MTS. If you disagreed with it from the get go, you shouldn't have signed. Rogers has been around for 3 or more years, you had the option to not sign up with MTS.

Then you admit that Android can't do anything better than iPhone or Blackberry so what are you fussing about? You want to give your employees an option, so go to Rogers. As far as contracts you're currently under, nobody cares since you agreed to it in the first place and that has no bearing on whether or not MTS offers Android as of today anyway.

I'm not even sure these two "usual suspects" have ever posted in any other forum except the MTS one, which I find strange if they are so happy with Rogers/Telus...?

Back to the "point" of this thread - it's very easy to get an Android phone on MTS' network - I've been running one now for over a year.
    Carrier: MTS | Handset: Galaxy S3 | Plan: 100 minutes, U/L Evenings & Weekends, U/L SMS, Call Display | Data: UNLIMITED LTE - $16.50

Why did I have to pay $650 to get a decent Android phone on MTS? I would have liked the opportunity to buy one at the $150 range, even when it means going back on contract.

Since this entire thread is people picking apart each other's comments, I'll do my own:
MTS does have an Android phone, but I'm too lazy to go look up how old it is.
Did I have to pay over $600? No, but the android I wanted wasn't coming to MB any time soon and I needed a new phone. I waited for over a year, while off-contract, for HSPA and a nice new phone before I realized MTS wasn't going to provide it.
Should I complain about a company I still receive service from? Maybe not, but I still tend to see MTS as the "lesser" of 2 evils, and no company is perfect.

What other cell company doesn't have any new Android handsets to offer it's customers? Not even an entry level phone...

Good point in this market place, canada the only place that you can not get a "new" android device is in Manitoba with MTS. I think you should not have to purchase your own to get one....

I see the mod removed your comment Mr Jcalder must have been a good one.....I will continue here tell my contracts with MTS are up.

It was pretty lame and in my opinion not really worth a warning, but this isn't my website so I have to deal with what the moderators decide.

I notice you never actually have any rebuttals for any of the arguments that are presented to you, you just go off on a tangent with sarcasm that really means nothing so it seems like you're complaining just for the sake of complaining.

Enjoy keeping your employees happy, your Androids and your better contracts with Rogers in the future.

You jcalder my point in this thread is just to point out that over a year after HSPA launch on MTS they still do not have any real selection of phones. Heck Windows phones even Symbian os phones are really not available. It is a pity.

I was okay on the business side keeping the phones with MTS, but every phone I move over to Rogers, Rogers corporate give me $400 bill credit. I have showed this to MTS and they will not match it. All of myminutes are pooled between the phones, again MTS will not even come close to matching it. I really do not care what phone they have as long as they can do the work they need to do, but MTS on the corporate side are uncompetitive imho.

Consumer side is different good plans but no choice in phones, even after time with Rogers I still find that the plans are better on Rogers as long as you negotiate, same with MTS but with a national company they have more room to give better deals than MTS. That is what I have found out.....just the facts as I see it.....pity maybe they will see it and be more like Sask-Tel or TB-Tel....

I will have to agree, MTS corporate is quite uncompetitive...
Which is crazy considering they share towers with Rogers.

But we all know plans on contract or not are really expensive in Canada.

It's no secret MTS needs better phones lol. Whether that is your deciding factor to love em or hate em for it, is a personal choice. I agree there selection sucks but don't agree its the end all be all to make or break them as good or bad. Every company has their strengths and weaknesses.

lololol. I don't think MTS has a clue what Android is.

I have to pipe in here because my contract is almost done, and I might switch from MTS as well because of the lack of choice.

One major point of contract is to subsidize the price of the phone. I can't go in and get a month to month plan that's decent like a contractual plan. And they tell be it's because of the subsidized phone. Well if that's the case then get me a phone that I
    want.

I shouldn't have to go and get my own phone elsewhere. I WISH that were the case everywhere, then we all don't have to endure this hassle. Now if I were to go and get my own phone then I want that discount for the duration of my contract. YOu can keep the silly fruit phone.

MTS non existent again. I heard from an insider that the kiddies in marketing don't have a clue.

Just annoyed because I'm not an MTS hater, I just want the same options as Sasktel at the very least..
