LOL you have to be kiddn` HSPA is so new and nothing really new from MTS>>>>>lol
Carrier: MTS | Handset: Galaxy S3 | Plan: 100 minutes, U/L Evenings & Weekends, U/L SMS, Call Display | Data: UNLIMITED LTE - $16.50
Derfel, if you knew anything about the wireless industry, you would know that it's important for a carrier to have a good selection of phones. MTS does not. That's the point we're trying to make here.
Also frequently referred to as "Positive Rate".
Actually, you were going on about dead spots earlier...
... and I've pointed out several times that MTS is posting increases in number of subscribers and overall wireless revenue in the post few quarters. Phone selection isn't everything, it seems...

No forums are NOT used just for complaints or whining about your dissatisfaction with a product ir company (mts). Forums are used for group troubleshooting and to avoid to horrible customer care that most companies offer especially MTS. And it's not only two guys complaining about mts, I am too so make that three. You have to admit MTS is totally dropping the ball on this one and really letting their customers down. We live in an era of great devices but MTS refuses to get any new devices in, why??? Sasktel even has us beat and when Saskatchewan Beats us at anything it's a hard pill to swallow. Cheers!

I said "Generally" used for complaints or whining. Not "Exclusively".
Also your post involves complaining and whining, so it looks like I was right.
As for broken-record Positive Climb, MTS doesn't seem to be going broke so I don't think they're overly concerned with your point of view. You've expressed this point of view, over and over and over again and yet nothing has changed.
I just don't understand why you and caanda45 are so butt-hurt over this matter to keep bringing it up...
Butt hurt? Huh? I'm not hurting about anything. What gave you the idea I was butt hurt?
I have never expressed any of this over and over again, no idea where you get that from.
Sorry don't mean to hurt anyone's feelings and I can't speak for canada45 cause I don't even know who he/she is but for me there is no hurt feelings here. I buy my own android devices and use them on mts. But it is strange mts doesn't offer more devices with their great unlimited data plans. And yeah it's completely obvious mts doest give two hoots to anyone's complaints, which is sad.
Introducing the latest and the greatest from MTS:
I didn't mean you, I meant Positive Climb who trolls this forum for no particular reason other than to whine and complain about MTS's lack of Android phones. Prime example is his post above this one. The biggest problem is people like Derfel and myself responding to his nonsense.
Listen guys, MTS makes me feel like a mean Dad, my employees see these great ads for phones and I say I can`t get them because MTS only really has BB`s and the I-phone. They are all very very bored of the BB and the other half that do not want the I-phone leaves me no choice but to switch them out to Rogers. I figure in 2 years I will be done with MTS.
Derfel I agree with you on the increases in subscriber base but from what I see and have heard the increases are small, Rogers people tell me they have greatly increased their base, so all in all we are at the same point. If you want a cool phone, heck a current phone other than BB or I-phone it is not MTS. (heck even a 1 year old Android is not available from MTS)
LOL not butt-hurt just check back here every once and a while and see that nothing every really happens here on MTS, I guess this is really the only "hot" topic cause they never have any phones to debate about......I just don't understand why you and caanda45 are so butt-hurt over this matter to keep bringing it up...
Derfel and jcalder defend and myself and positive climb point out the failings of MTS.
This is mind-boggling. Your employees see the fellow sky diving with an HTC phone and they go, "holy crap, in my down time from my job I think I need to videotape myself doing some sky diving with my phone!!! WAIT! I can't because my stupid boss only gave me an iPhone"?
Big deal what your employees want. They should be happy you provide them with a phone. Period. If they want something different, feel free to get your own phone.
You sir, have screwed up priorities if your desire for android and hatred for MTS is stemmed from "feeling like a mean dad" towards your apparently ungrateful employees.
Aw, boo hoo.
Again I say, Boo hoo.
Not really. It leaves you the choice to say what 99.9% of proper business owners say. "Use what I gave you".
Unless you're forcing them to use MTS and you're making them pay the bills on phones they don't want I have zero sympathy for your employees.
I don't care for Android but if I got a free one through work I sure as hell wouldn't be complaining about it.
I'm sure you won't be missed.
Fan boys above.....
I give them a choice, makes for happier employees!!
Calder....a waste of time responding.......
It is expensive and risky to go out and buy a large sum of phones when a majority of customers want their purchase subsidized. After the deaths of every unlimited data plan (to protect multi-million dollar networks from user abuse) are complete, I wager a lot of carriers are going to turn their attention this way.
Pointing out your skewed logic doesn't make anyone a "fan boy". If I am a "fan boy" then I'm a terrible one since I don't use MTS as my provider.
You have a choice too! You want Android and you want to provide Android to your employees? Go to a different carrier that offers Android!
Either way, I don't know what your business is but if your employee's happiness is relying on whether they get an Android over an iPhone or Blackberry as a company phone, you've probably got bigger problems on your hands.
What I want to know is, as a company phone, what does Android offer that the iPhone or Blackberry doesn't? And I'm talking about actual use for work, not "Angry Birds is easier to play on a 4.5" screen than a 3.5" screen"
