They must have been overstock on these and just decided to give them to boost. That's cool with me, pass them down.

Seems that's the norm nowadays. First the Desire now the XPRT. More to come I'm sure.

BTW. I ordered one of these. I'm going to be taking it overseas with me. The phone I have on Boost right now fits me well but the XPRT has got me with the functional SIM slot. Once I get rich (lol) I might buy the Desire because it'll replace my current phone AND have a SIM slot. But right now $300 on a phone is not an option.

LOL! Yeah they kinda took the cheap route with this one. Its the original XPRT "Flashed" to Boost.
But the price was too hard to pass up. The phone is pretty good and overall the best deal that Boost
has going so far. I said Touchwiz but the XPRT is actually running Motoblur over Gingerbread.
I wonder if the Sprint XPRT's ESN's are now on Boost's system.

I got a friend with the Photon and it ain't a bad phone. Would rather have this on Boost than the current EVO Design or even the EVO 3D that Virgin has.

Anyone that has had the warp switched to this phone or plan on switching? I wanted to know how the camera/pic quality is compared to the warp

I had the XPRT on sprint and the 5mp was pretty poor. Motorola isn't known for their cameras not sure how the shooter is on the warp but definitely below average on the XPRT. However battery life and signal strength very good on the Moto like most of their phones.

The pics are not as good as the Warp, possibly due to the size of the screen. My Warp's flash is iffy when switched to auto but the XPRT's flash has been working good so far. It may replace my Warp as I am tired of the frequent battery pulls.

How does this phone compare to the Prevail? What are the specs on it? Does it have a lot of internal memory? I am really tired of not having enough memory on the prevail to run apps. Is the camera comparable to Prevail? How is the touch screen? Thanks!

I do not have the phone in my hands yet so take my reply as my opinion only... or at the least with a grain of salt.

The phone has a native 1ghz processor. Even with the Prevail's overclocking it cannot reach that much and overclocking comes with a price you have to pay in battery power, not to mention that not every prevail can stand overclocking and still be stable enough for use.

The prevail has little internal memory and even with a second partition on the sd card things are not always that happy happy joy joy. This phone has 2 gb of internal memory of which 1gb is open to your app storage. Meaning that you can probably add apps to your heart's content and still have a load of space to spare. It also comes with a 2gb card out of the box... not enough storage for anybody really, but its a nice gesture.

The prevail has a 2 mega pixel, fixed focus camera. The XPRT has a 5mp, auto focus camera. The XPRT also comes with a full keyboard which the Prevail doesn't.

You can make your own conclusions from all that.

Can you use a US SIM card with this phone? It would be great for those times when I am out of Sprint's coverage area. I heard it can use any non-US SIM, but I was wondering if you could 'unlock' it to use a US-based SIM, like an att or t-mobile prepay SIM.

The Prevail was (is) a low end, budget phone. It's nothing special in so far as devices go.

The XPRT was the cousin of the Droid Global on Verizon and really didn't sell well which is my guess as to why it's on Boost. I think this is going to be more of a limited time offering IMO and once the warehouse is empty it's over.

There are many user reviews on the phone at cnet, phonescoop, and maybe even Sprint's site.

Probably not. European GSM carriers use different frequencies than here in the US. You can't (for example) use a US based GSM Sim card in the Motorola Photon.

I am so glad my case and screen protector came at the same time! I say its a must buy if you need just a cheap phone. XPRT > replenish

The Droid Pro/XPRT support US frequencies, but at least the Pro has the US carriers blocked. People do unlock them and use them on Canadian GSM carriers.

I got mine today. Good phone for 83 dollars. I haven't activated it yet but am using it on wifi with VoIP ( several apps). And for an mp3 player. Sprint data is so slow here it doesn't justify activating it. It is picky about linking to wifi. I have to reset my router before It will connect. My kindle fire does this as well. Kind of a pain. But a nice little phone for games, mp3. Kind of Using it as an iPod now. Have to upgrade that sd card. But so far so good.
trying to come up with better signature.......
