I am a little confused. My Verizon phone was able to roam on GSM because they used TDMA. Tell it was shutdown. The phone recognizes it as Analog. If PCS has TDMA, It could be technically be used on GSM.

XFF is correct. From what I have been told the older I Phones have micro SIM cards that will not fit in other smart phones without an adaptor.
Not sure if it is true and or with which phone it starts but I was also told that the newer I Phone uses a standard SIM?
If anyone could confirm or deny that.
Just wondering though, most people like their I Phones, is there a reason you want to go from I Phone to Android?
You have it backwards. The two newer iPhones, 4 and 4S use microSIM cards. Regardless of sizes, SIM cards are not tied to a specific phone. GSM technology allows you to change phones by moving the SIM card to a different phone. The telephone number is associated with the SIM card and not the phone.

Ok, well I knew it was something like that, one has the normal sim and the other has the micro sim.
So everything up to the 4 and 4s use full size sims and the 4 and 4s use micro sims. That is good for people to know when they are thinking of buying a phone to ST.
Thanks for the correction Efparri.
Actually there are three SIM card sizes in use:
Full SIM card - credit card size used in some satellite phones
MiniSIM card - the card used in most modern GSM phones
MicroSIM card - used in iPhone 4 and up plus several other brands

When you order a SIM card you receive the full sized SIM card, which is credit card sized. The miniSIM card or microSIM card are held in place by break off tabs from the full sized card. Some full sized SIM card have both the microSIM card and the miniSIM card by breaking the appropriate tabs.
