Hi,
I recently got the Samsung T528G from Straight Talk and started poking around in the phone. While they say this phone doesn't have GPS capability, I found some menus for LBS (location based services). Some of the test settings appear to reference GPS locations, specifically in Texas. I am not familiar with all of the options and settings in the LBS screen, but is it possible the phone has GPS capability but it's disabled? If so, does anyone know how to enable it or what settings I might try?
Thank you.

Can anyone help?
For those 1800+ viewers of this thread, I have found a somewhat workable solution. There's a program called GMaps that can determine your location from the cell towers and provide a pretty accurate position fix on a map. It works well enough for me that I no longer need the GPS function to work in the phone (for Google maps). It's located here: http://wap.mgmaps.com/
