Family Locator Free For A Month + Price Drop - GPS Question

Does anyone here use family locator? VZW is offering one month free and after then $9.99 a month total for all lines, not per line as they used to offer. I set it up on my phone to give it a try; I have a Motorola Droid Razr Maxx. When it trys to locate me at work, it has my location being about 1/4 to 1/2 mile away. If this is the case, it is not accurate. Can anyone else share their experiences?

You typically need to be outdoors for an accurate location, since GPS signals don't penetrate buildings much at all. Using "tower triangulation" based on cell signals only, CDMA is typically quoted as a 200 meter radius. Though that degrades if few cell sites can receive from your phone and they have poor relative geometry.
