Samsung Galaxy S II HD LTE ICS update

    Hi guys,
New here. I just got Samsung Galaxy S II HD LTE and was wondering if owners of this phone got the ICS update yet. Bell.ca says that this phone is up-gradable to ICS but when I tried updating through phone it says no updates available.

Hi, I'm new to the smartphone scene but I've been around here a bit in the past. I have the same phone, had it for about 2.5 weeks now and love it other than battery life. I have since tweaked the phone to improve battery life a bit.

To answer your question we are looking at July sometime. See the Mobilesyrup link here. http://mobilesyrup.com/2012/05/23/be...droid-devices/

The first few days I owned the S2 HD LTE phone I thought I had made a huge mistake as I was getting frustrated finding my way around Android. Now that I have figured out the basics I love it!

Carrying 2 devices, I had been using an iPod touch in conjunction with my previous feature phone (a Samsung Impact) as a quasi cheap smartphone combo so to speak. So Being familiar with the iOS ecosystem I knew I did not want an iPhone as I thought it was too confining.

Now I have this and a data plan for the first time and wouldn't go back. I'm Really enjoying the experience.

kaybertoss thanks a lot for the reply. Yes I love this phone, the screen is stunning, one of the best cam that shoots beautiful pictures and video. I think it will be even better with Ice cream sandwich.

I'm loving this phone too, had it basically since launch... screen is great but I miss the super amoled plus, I think the HD makes up for it though.

Still Gingerbread build for the Bell's Samsung Galaxy S II HD LTE (SGH-I757M). Perhaps, provide us with more information, particularly the HIDSWVER. Thank you.

I just connected my Bell SGS2 HD LTE and the only update I encountered was to the Kies software itself. No ICS 4.0

    Folks,

I think I can fill in some blanks.

First of all, thanks weedb0y for offering more information. To protect your privacy (and seriously your job), I will not post anything you have shown me in the open forum that may get you into troubles.

There is no "international" variant and the only equivalent is the cancelled at&t Skyrocket HD SGH-I757. SGH-I757M is the Bell specific variant.

According to my other source, the ICS "update" has not signed off for the public release. So whether it has been leaked out by mistake or the otherwise, we will not get it through KIES at this moment.

Thanks for the clarification. I thought that was most likely the case.

If you poke around the internet, there's definitely someone with the ROM out there: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=31350

I've tried everything I could think of as far as getting this from the fus servers with CheckFus or the web-based versions. It's on there... just don't know how to get it off.
