Epic 4G flashed to boost mobile need help activating,

So, ive had a hard time with this but ive called booost mobile like 6 times, first they asked for the pin, so i had to contact the person i bought it from for the pin, when i got past that, they gave me an MSL number and PHone number. BUt they needed to programm the phone, But it was,nt working. Now someone told me i need to download something called "CDMA workshop" or something, to program the phone, but i have no idea how, and ive heard i can do it from the phone itself. so can anyone help me out? Its a used phone that has been flashed to boost mobile from sprint.

Did they have you do an RTN reset ##786# by any chance?

If so, and if you don't have the original phone that was used to "Boost" it, you may be SOL.

I'm far from an expert, but I do know any time I've done an RTN reset I have to completely start over.

This comes up fairly frequently and unfortunately the answer sucks - If you didn't get a "donor" phone when you bought a phone "flashed" to Boost, you're at the mercy of the person who sold it to you.

    Your options basically are:

    a) Go back to the person who sold it to you and make them fix it.

    b) Pay someone else who will provide you with a donor phone to flash it again, properly. Ask them if they can flash it so OTA activation works, if they say "no", find someone with more skill. You wouldn't hire a plumber who doesn't know how to tighten the bolts on a toilet.

    c) Buy a donor Boost phone, Google for a guide on flashing your phone to Boost, do a bunch of reading and downloading of various CDMA apps. Be prepared to get rather frustrated due to inaccuracies in the guide and glitchy software. If you have a "computer nerd" friend who owes you a favor, it might be a good time to call him on it.
