Well for starters I did a clean restore,erase everything,and started with nothing on the phone, inserted the gevey sim ultra s multinetwork and the message came out that said congratulations your phone is unlock, and to accept and of course I did pressed the accepted button, then after couple a minutes the tmobile signal showed in the top part of the phone, the only thing that still confused me is that my carrier is still Verizon on the general, about section of the phone, but my network says t- mobile, but in the other part of general,network,roaming,voice and data, everything is on ( voice roaming=on, data roaming=on, international CDMA =on

That sounds good. So, you didn't install furiousmod? What about the code it gives you in the "activation successful" screen? Sounds tempting, but I personally don't want to try it until I get the green light from the manufacturer saying its ok. I'm on 5.0.1, but the crappy battery life is not something I'm fond of. Anyone else that has the new version have the same success?

No furiousmod, no jailbreak, only the gevey sim with my tmobile sim card, the only thing that is not working is sending text messages, or sending mms text, I can only received, but that I'll figure it later on.

This phone is for my 14 year old daughter, you tell her she cant text
Let us know when you get if figured out. BTW, did you have the original sim from Verizon when you restored it? And was it activated by Verizon when you inserted the gevey?

I see that Absinthe 2.0.2 is out. I wonder if this will affect unlocking issue?

edit: so I read up on the 2.0.2 and found this:http://www.product-reviews.net/2012/...5-1-1-updates/

It says to make sure build number is 9B208, mine is at 9B206. Is this an issue?

Called Apple N Berry, no unlock for 5.1.1. Bummer. No ETA either. All he could tell me was to follow on twitter. Thank A'nB, good advice. Oh well.

Nop, all I have was my gevey sim card along with tmobile sin card, also I restore from a backup that I have before the new firmware (5.1.1 and the baseband 2.0.12 and new jailbreak) also I try different backups and I still connect to tmobile except that I can't send text messages, the last time I have services with verizon was in january of this year and gevey sim card I boughted in April, I thinking to jailbreak the iPhone to see if I can change some files thru pUtty application from cydia to see if I be able to send text message, I keep you posted.

Ev i have the same problem, for u to sens txts back is to go to ur msg and click on the top right corner to make a new msg then click the person u want to txt and itll work.

Av i have the same problem.. To send txt msgs is to open the msgs and click the top right corner to make a new txt msg, and click who u want to txt and that should work..
