Its really not hard to hit those 8-10k a month. My message counter says I sent/received 987 text today.

Sent from my SGH-I997 using HowardForums

If I were going to use that many texts I would probably use a prepay of the parent company that owns the tower. I.e virgin or boost if I wanted sprint towers, t mobiles prepay for for their towers and so on. If I were high use on any service I would prob not use ST unless I didn't care about the number. Airvoice has 5k talk 10k text for 35, less with discount. If you like Tmo I think they have some good text packages prepaid as well.
trying to come up with better signature.......

There are no reports of Straight Talk ever having a limit on texts and Howard Forums has been around for a while!
We do know that Air Voice, H2O, Red Pocket, Jolt, and Sprint MVNO's all place a limit on texting.

True that, don't believe I've ever seen a report of complaints for voice or text usage on Straight Talk.

Smartphones have taken what used to be a long process to send a text and turned it into being so much easier to send texts rapidly:

    PERSON A: sup?
    PERSON B: nada
    PERSON B: :-)
    PERSON A: bored
    PERSON B: me too
    PERSON B: where r u?
    PERSON B: im at school
    PERSON B: bored
    PERSON B: class sucks
    PERSON A: at work
    PERSON A: slacking
    PERSON A: lol
    PERSON B: :-)
PERSON B: cool, what u doing later?
    PERSON B: wanna do somethin?
    PERSON A: goin 2 mall
    PERSON A: wanna come?
    PERSON B: naw
    PERSON B: busy
    PERSON B: brb customer
    PERSON A: k
    PERSON A: text me later
    PERSON B: k
    PERSON B: :-)

25 texts and that's all within a MINUTE.

Tho anyone with an iPhone is now generally using iMessage, which you really don't know how much you're using since it's more of a chat service. I hate messaging non-iPhone people cause it's so limited and a primitive technology. The standard needs to be re-worked.

But seriously, if your kid is using that many texts, they need to get a life. Texting their "friends" isn't a life, it's an excuse to not be social in person.
