Wink Will these phones work w PP and service area.

I've found a few phones that I like and want to know if they will work thru PP. I'm in a rural area but we have good Verizon service and I checked the map on their webpage and it shows all green in my area. Is there another way I can make sure PP will work wothout extra charges before I buy the phone? Here are the phones

Moto Droid Razr Maxx---HTC Droid Eris---HTC Thunderbolt

I'm wanting to sign up for the 25.00 plan. I won't use that much data on the phone,I use my laptop or tablet at home with wireless and I need more minutes than 100 but I'm planning on getting a cheap landline to use at home and save those minutes for when I'm not at home. I text more than talk so it will be enough. I can't afford to go over 40.00 a month right now. So I'm hoping one of these phones will work with this plan.
But then again, since I need more minutes,I might have to go up to a better plan and forget the landline. It will depend on how much it will be. Thank you because I'm not phone savvy and if I have to do anything to the phone,I will need your help for sure.

If your not "phone savy", get the HTC Droid Eris. Everything will work without modifications.

I would pass on the home landline and use wifi to make free calls at home. The Eris should work, but it's a fairly low end phone in today's scheme of things.

Thanks for the replies but what abt the PP service question. If I have good Verizon service here and the PP map shows I'm covered, will I be able to use the phone with no extra charges like roaming?

I don't know about using Wifi for free calls from home. Can you tell me how to do that please?

Check the Verizon prepaid coverage map:

And the Page Plus coverage map:

If you have good coverage, you should be good to go. As far as free calls over WiFi, you stated above that you use your laptop or tablet for wireless. I assumed that you have WiFi at home. If you sign up for a Google Voice account, all you need is to install an app (such as Groove IP Lite) on your soon-to-be purchased android phone. Connect the phone to WiFi and fire up the app. Any calls you make or receive will be over WiFi, without using minutes from your plan.
