The encouraging thing about this is if USCC is on the ball for the GS4 you could get the GS4 by buying out of your contract early and only have to pay 80-90ish vs 200+on VZ. So the phone is slightly more but even without using belief points you could save money in the long run if you wanted to get the GS4 right when that comes out.

Anyone have detailed specs for the USCC version yet? Per the website it says dual core processor instead of the quad core. I am also curious if it has the notification LED on the front like the S2 has, as well as rear camera placement (middle or side). Biggest differences I see are .3ghz faster processor, .3" bigger screen, and the OS.

None of the US Versions have a quad core. Quad Core won't support LTE yet. I'm sure the USCC version is the exact same as Sprint's and Verizon's. Outside of their LTE Radio.

Have since resolved that issue and am thinking about running the latest version when I have time to mess with it.

Are we seriously forced to wait until 6/12, web only, to pre-order? Ugh....

Went to a US Cell store yesterday and the person there told me for the 16GB either $199.00 or $229.00 after rebate and that new customers would get a break....

Giving that doesn't match pricing hidden in the website I doubt that... unless their changing their mind. That said usually USCC new customer phone price discounts roughly lower the price enough to eliminate the activation fee. New and existing customers typically pay close to the same in the end.

Went to a retail store today and the employee told me they are getting the SIII two weeks after the major carriers, by choice. Apparently Samsung is shipping them out to the various carriers in very limited quantities, and USCC is using the extra two weeks to build up an inventory so you don't have to wait 4 hours in line and not get a phone.

Would that make the release date July 5th?

I bet these two things go hand in hand, although I don't think its to build up inventory. That is probably the coverup.

US Cellular is probably banking on the other guys selling out quickly, then picking up the rest that were not able to get one who are now desperate and are willing to pay a higher price for the phone.

    Supply and demand...

Suposidly hidden in their website's source code its 249.99 after rebate, or $50 more than the competition. That said I can understand USCC probably HAS to charge more. Samsung wont give them as big a discount potentially because they are not buying in as large a quantity as other providers... I could be wrong on that though.

I wouldn't get too hung up on what is in the source code (and hidden). While it may have most of the expected information, it doesn't have any reference to the mail in rebate yet. Every other product page has reference to the mail in rebate except for the new GS3 pages (all of them are missing the rebate). Let's just wait until they actually release the pricing before we start speculating. They could actually surprise us.
