For those wishing for a Samsung Galaxy S III on USCC, well-

    Your wishes have been granted!

    "

[top]Samsung Galaxy S III appears in US Cellular’s computer system

It’s pretty much a no brainer that the Samsung Galaxy S III will launch on the four major US carriers, but with regional carriers we can’t be so sure. With an entry in their internal computer system, US Cellular can be added to the list of networks expected to receive the new Samsung flagship handset. The listings show a 16GB model in both white and pebble blue color schemes. We’re not sure when any US carriers will officially announce the Galaxy S III, but a summer launch is what we are looking for. The US Cellular version might ship later than those for Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T, but a simultaneous release would also make sense."

I just saw the post at Phandroid and was coming here to post it as well. I just hope they can get it out in a reasonable timeframe. I can hold out for it as I have yet to see anything else that really trips my trigger!

My bet is a November release with everyone else releasing in late July or August.

Pricing will be the key for me. I got the Bold 9650 at $129 after rebate and the Curve 9350 free after rebate. If the SGIII comes in at $229 or $249 after rebate, it will be a hard pill to swallow.

I doubt they'll sell a premium phone like that for under $200, especially USCC who seems to charge more for phones.

Wasn't the GSII $229 after rebate? I wouldn't be surprised to see this priced at $279 after rebate when it first comes out.

Especially when they likely have to pay more for their phone from samsung than VZ or Sprint because they can't buy in a large of quantities as the bigger providers.

True, which is why I said they charge more.

Is there an anticipated release date at all for the sgs 3 anywhere (for any carrier)?

I think tmobile is supposed to have it ready for June 20th.

Not positive on that date though.

Let's hope it's not loaded with bloatware. Example: tone room deluxe, my navigator, city id, et all...

I know what you are saying, but at least the majority of todays handsets come with enough internal memory that being unable to remove them is not the problem it was with devices like the Desire.

When I finally do upgrade from my Desire (timeframe for a release date on the GS3 will be determining factor), I may not even bother with rooting it.

Really only rooted my Desire for the additional app space.

I have absolutely no issue with a carrier loading up software on the phones. My problem is making them uninstallable without effort.
