If you make your calls while stationary, then you should have no problem.
All of that being said, take the employer's offer but keep a PagePlus handset in the glove compartment just for those occasions that require Verizon native coverage.
There is not point of having a page plus phone, Sprint can roam in Verizon. With the right PRL you also get 3G roaming not just 1x. I would carry a Page Plus if i was using AT&T or T-Mobile.

Sprint has great coverage in the city of Atlanta and most of metro Atlanta. However, once you get too far out of the city coverage will be mostly roaming which Sprint puts a limit on. That's something to keep in mind of you travel all over the state.

Not necessarily. When I was carrying a Sprint phone, there were a few occasions where I was in a rural area at a customers house and could have used a Verizon handset. I was in Chester, SC about 6 miles outside the city limit and my Optimus S Would not let go of an unusable 0 bars Sprint signal. I could not make a call. I had to use my customers Verizon line. If Sprint still had a force roam option I would have been all set. I do agree that these types of situations are rare though.

Having a Sprint phone on forced roam all the time is a way to go around the going in and out of roaming problem and dropping the call. I have that capability on one of my Sprint phones, but not everybody's Sprint phone has that option available. That's why I suggested a PagePlus phone.
