I bought a brand new clean esn iphone 4s verizon from craigslist.
Then I called pageplus customer service to activate it and obtained a new number.
The problem began as soon as I found I cannot register the number on pageplus website
I tried to called #737, and it said "welcome to pageplus"
However, when I dialed *611, it said "welcome to verizon wireless"
I called PP's CSR again, the guy said it needs programming, which I assume is *22890 or *228.
I did this. Still says verizon via *611.
Finally, I successfully register this number at VERIZON. I checked the account. It is part of a business plan and currently still has 450/1400 min and 3GB data.
Anyone has some idea what happens to my phone. Thanks in advance.

Are you absolutely sure it was a new phone and has a clean ESN? If so, then PP may be enforcing the rule that you are not able to activate new iPhones. There has been discussion in other posts that only iPhones that had been previously used on Verizon's network can be activated with PP.
Sounds is active on a Verizon account

Obviously the iPhone is still active on a Verizon account. That's your problem.
