Samsung Canada just announced the released has been delayed to June 27th for all carriers due to overwhelming pre-order demands.

Surely you mean delayed a week so they will hit a milestone of 10 million preorders.

Not that this affects anyone here, but that is the dumbest logic I have heard. Due to "too many orders" we are delaying all orders? So the truth is they don't have any ready... The PR copy should read "Due to any interest in Canada, we are delaying 1 week so we can get our factories to make some"

That is probably closer to the truth, they didn't think Canada was going to have any significant order numbers so they most likely figured that they can pass off a few left over U.S. ones, but then they probably realized that the demand was high on the U.S. and Canada side so they had to actually ship some straight to Canada. Of course I'm completely hypothesizing on this.

I bet it's because they have a lot more orders in America versus Canada and they are prioritizing them over us, and will use the phones originally planned for here to supply American carriers.

Hey I don't disagree with you. Even if they have underestimated the demand, what stops them from shipping the original orders on the 20th and then all the extras on the 27th.

I'm not getting the phone anyway, I'm just fully aware of how insignificant Canada is, lol.

I'm counting the days until this phone comes out. Especially since I lost my Samsung Galaxy S1 a couple days ago and have been using that cheap $50 Huawei that Wind sells. I was pretty devastated when I heard about the one week delay

Here we are 48 hours til delayed launch and WIND still won't give us details. If they didn't offer competitive rates I'd probably have left. What is the point of Twitter/Facebook/Blog if they won't share information.

    +1

I'm very surprised as to why Wind and more-so Mobi haven't given any pricing details. I find it interesting that Mobi advertised a $100 credit for pre-ordering the S3 without pricing. Hypothetically I mean pre-ordering to save $100 only to find out it's priced $100 more the competitors isn't much of a deal to the consumer.

The details should be out tomorrow. I am counting the days too. I guess they wouldn't want to impact the promotion that ends today.

The GS3 is launching on Wind at $649, with $200 and $350 tab subsidies on the Wind25 and Wind40 plans, respectively.

Don't count on getting it immediately at launch unless you're planning on activating a new pay after line though.

    Haha, so 649-350= $299 for a 16GB version for a 3 year tab (i mean contract)

Looks like I will be purchasing from TMobile USA or Mobilicity.

In fact Mobilicity is offering 100 off.

Guess we will have to wait another 18 hours to see what the "deal" is

$300 vs $0 on Bell is nearly a $10/month difference over 3 years. Granted you'll never find anything close to WIND40 for $50 on Bell.
