    PlatinumTel is cheaper than PagePlus?

    http://www.platinumtel.com/plans/compare

5˘ per minute, 2˘ per text, and 10˘ per Megabyte

100megs data for $10 is tempting.

    anyone have experience w/PlatinumTel?

This is pretty old news; well over a couple of years now. Check out older threads in the General Prepaid forum, as well as some sub-forums in the Sprint Prepaid area. Plenty of info.

I've had two phones for over a year. No issues. If Sprint prepaid works for you and you like the pricing model you mention, I'd consider it.

As with anything there is more to consider than the cost of something. Would you buy some sausage for 10 cents a pound? Sprint coverage is not as good in many areas compared to Verizon.

If it's on Sprint, be VERY careful - my wife was on Virgin Mobile for a year and complained to me constantly - not even remotely worth the savings, she's on AT&T Straight Talk with iPhone now. Best money ever spent.

I completely agree. Rarely do you hear anything good about Sprint's coverage and even if you do, it's likely that person has complained in the past. Verizon Coverage > Sprint Coverage

The little extra cost is worth it if you plan to put your money to good use.

Here Sprint and Verizon are the best. Sprint may actually be a little better. At&t is crap here and tmobile is the worst. I used to live somewhere where at&t was the best so had a contract and then moved. Totally depends on where you live. I think the prices of platinum tel phones are high (last I checked). Do they allow BYOD?

Thanks for the reply. For us Page plus is still best deal, but I could see Platinum being a great choice for many. If ppc ever adds a family plan, it will be really hard to beat based on our usage.

I agree with u. PPC is solid. Ive been using them for about a year. I just bought a Sprint Nexus S for $50, so I kinda wanna check out Sprint's network.
I had a Samsung Fascinate on PPC, at 1 time. I really liked that setup.
