Its pretty clear at this point. We wanted this to work, but RW isn't able to deliver. In an age of instant gratification, iPhone launches, and forums such as these, you'd think they'd know better.
The deal (price) itself isn't compelling, but it would solve some cost or coverage issues for some.
Asking people to opt in without knowing exactly what the phones will be upfront is nuts.
Then, just silence. I don't like the options I use now, but they work well and I guess I'm sticking with them.
In over their heads...I would agree. I'm one of the last waves and I've been reading through their forums for the past few weeks. They have ALOT of issues!! The biggest seems to be their lack of communication with people, and their customer service complaints suggest that they are ignoring peoples' emails. Then when people complain and raise a voice, RW comes back with this excuse that they didn't get any emails from them. I mean, come on! Paying customers are asking for ways to speak with a live person to get assistance to resolve issues and all they say is 'send us another email'. People are angry about being toyed around with like that. I can't blame them. If a company didn't answer my emails, and they were charging me each month, I would want to speak with a live person also.
Apparently, the manager for RW has posted a new thread trying to reassure people that RW hasn't forgotten about their paying customers. Hahaha...right! One poster even came right out and said he was tired of his lies. Ouch! Yeah, you have angry customers over there at RW.
I agree 100% that RW has a serious problem with communication. They say what they want, when they want. It doesn't matter whether everyone has the same question or not - they're not even going to acknowledge the question, much less answer it. I'd understand if they came out and said:
"We know everyone's asking (whatever they're asking), but we can't answer that question now because (why)."
But, instead, they just ignore the questions. That's a bad sign.
As for the problems, i.e. no MMS, etc., this is a BETA product. Nobody should be buying a beta product and expect 100% reliability (or even 50%). BETA means beta. It might work. It might not.
