You are paying $35 I assume after shrinkage, correct? Otherwise for new customers its $50 (55-5, with autopay discount). Yeah $35 is less expensive, but if you really want the iPhone then I'm not sure its such a big deal to pay $40 (after $5 discount for autopay) for 1,200 minutes and unlimited everything else. I'm sure you can manage on 1,200 minutes? Do you know your actual usage? Unlimited is not necessarily always needed. Plus you get to $40 without the shrinkage gimmick so its still a good deal. Don't beat yourself up over $5.

More important question is, if it was offered on Boost, could you easily afford the upfront device cost? I wouldn't be surprised if they made you start all over without shrinkage discount before you could get to $35.

Historically Boost has NOT done that...

When moving from regular shrinkage (50 -> 35) to a BB or Android plan they carry over your shrinkage status and just raise your cost by the "premium" ($5 Android, $10 BB).

So if you are down to $35 and move to an Android it only goes up to $40.

I thought to myself well Verzion has one and ATT has one too so why shouldn't Boost have one? There's still talk that Boost will be getting the iPhone this September.
Maybe it will be the iPhone 5 once it is introduced to the world.
There really would be no need to keep it from BOOST Mobile prepaid since it would not be subsidized.
It would make perfect sense for Sprint to expand their prepaid iPhone channels to include Boost Mobile at that time. With the new iPhone 5, you would also have the choices of the iPhone 4S and the iPhone 4.
That would make 3 in-house sales channels at Sprint for the device.

Operating without a contract makes you far more valuable.

Just wanted to add the latest information........

I called Boost to say I was interested in getting their service and was curious to weather or not they would be implementing the Iphone in their line up.. The reps reply was that yes they were working on it, of course my next question was if it would be 3 months 6 months 1 month... he replied he could not specify but it should be very soon.

This was very reassuring, I was holding out for a new phone

I am just going to guess the pricing should be the same as Virgin

The lowest level (off shore Dominican Republic based) rep has about as much insight as to what phones will be in the line up as my dog.

Question Boost Mobile GETTING THE iPhone!

I had posted a comment on Boost Mobile's Facebook page "You should get the iPhone"!!!!!! Boost commented with "Thanks for the feedback Natalie. ^Soila G." Then a user replied with "It will be 649.99 same price as virgin mobile."

SO DO YOU THINK BOOST HAS GOTTEN THE IPHONE?

Sprint spent $39billion with apple thats a lot of iphones and all they care is about selling them weather is on boost virgin or sprint andfor what i hear is not moving so much on virgin but probably would do great once is on all three carriers but def will be $649 cuz y lowerthe price eat part of the cost if theres no guarantee that you will stay with them long anoigh to get the money back

With the iPhone joining two prepaid carriers just recently and a new iPhone releasing next month, I see it to be a very likely possibility.

    No.

Sprint agreed to purchase $15.5 billion over the next 4 years. Sprint started selling the iPhone in October 2011. They have sold 4.8 million iPhones since on postpaid. Analysts have measured Sprint is on pace to sell over that but the biggest net gain has been Sprint's company metrics this year leading the stock to double in price year to date.

A lot of people are hoping Boost gets the iPhone but really are hating how pricey the phones are.

A lot of people want things they certainly can not afford.

The last time Sprint prepaid introduced a Flagship Android, (HTC EVO V) they followed it up with an iPhantastic announcement within weeks of that introduction. Maybe the same will occur this time around if the Boost Mobile iPhone rumors become reality.

Sorry wrong amount of Billions lol still a lot lo lot of iphones to sell that would be a lot easier to spread actoss 3 carriers And would help virgin and boost if they were to get it to in bringing in lots of new subscribers and yes a lot of people want stuff they can not afford but that means the ones that do pay $600+ for a phone are more likely to stick with the provider

LOL. I hate to say it but that's exactly right. Phones are expensive. Just get what you can afford and be happy. I hate when I see people whining about flagship phones being so overpriced. Sorry, can't have a cheap/free high-end phone AND cheap service. These are businesses out to make money, not a charity

    I agree

but also even if they sold 4 million now really dont mean nothing. once iphone 5 drops cariers struggle to shake the old ones off
they start dropping price practically to nothing so why not give it to boost to help load it off

    so yes.they will
