As many people expected, Android 4.0 is now available for Telus' Amaze. The over-the-air update is available through the phone's menu.

A message to all HTC Amaze phone (all carriers) users:
I highly suggest that you do NOT upgrade your phones to ICS. I have repeated this on more than one Amaze phone (a couple of Telus phones) and people with the Wind version all also reporting the same problem. I suspect that the problem that I'm about to mention affects all HTC Amaze phones.
After updating to Ice Cream Sandwich, your camera will not work properly. If your flash is set to auto or "on" and your flash goes off while taking a picture, you will get a completely black screen instead of the proper image. This is repeatable and happens every time if you use the side shutter button and hold it down for auto focus. if you auto focus with the on-screen shutter button, the problem doesn't happen. This is an across-the-board software bug that needs to be fixed by HTC.
I have the Telus HTC Amaze and did the upgrade recently...i just tested your theory.....I took two pics with the flash set to on and two pics on auto...all four pictures turned out fine, no black screens.
Has anybody found a way to flash back gingerbread from stock ICS with
RUU_Ruby_TELUS_WWE_1.41.661.3_Radio_1.08.550L.19DC _30.66.550L.08D_release_222694_signed.exe
it starts but later stops saying wrong bootloader version?
ICS freezes with flash turned when a picture is taken with hardware camera button.

Sergo.
