Hi all,
I'm curious which model Koodo carried, the i9020t or i9020a. I want to pick up a used one, the seller says it is an i9020t but that it was won in a Koodo contest.
The User Guide on Koodo's website (link: koodomobile.com/en/content/pdfGuides/Nexus_S_Owners_Guide.pdf) shows "Tri-band HSPA: 900, 1700, 2100. XDA Developers however shows this as the one for Wind/Moblicity/T-Mobile (link: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1031760)
From what I can tell I want the i9020a, which supports the HSPA 850/1900/2100 bands, but Koodo's user guide just threw in a bunch of confusion.
Am I making any sense?
Edit: I want to use this on Telus.
Edit 2: Telus's website lists theirs as 850/1900/2100 (link telusmobility.com/en/ON/Samsung-Google-Nexus-S/device-details.shtml)

Yeah I sold my i9020t Nexus S (bought from WIND Mobile) on kijiji and one of the prospective buyers asked me if he could use it with TELUS. And I explained that the i9020t doesn't have the required 850/1900 bands to use for Rogers/Bell/TELUS 3G. And that because Bell/TELUS lack 2G GSM networks, he can only use 2G with Rogers. The whole band thing can be confusing for people. I remember at first when I was new to this stuff the band thing was confusing until I found out that Rogers, Bell and TELUS = 850/1900 3G and WIND/Mobilicity = 1700 3G. In the end, a guy who was already with WIND and wanted to upgrade bought my phone.
