Question remarkably annoying problem with unlocked Blackberry 9900 and MMS on mobilicity

anyone got an unlocked BB (whether 9900 or 9780) they're using on Mobilicity and not having any problems at all with their MMS?

I have an intermittent problem where it fails to send...at this point 2/3 of the time.

Tech support couldn't figure it out and defaulted to the "you didn't buy it from mobilicity so I can't help you further" line...

Everything else works fine on the phone but I can't send MMS 100% of the time. Oddly, same intermittent problem on my GF's unlocked 9780. Am I missing something here? I figured once the service books are sent over, you're good to go.

What am I missing here? All the settings/resets and doublechecks have been done.

Locked 9700, Unlocked 9900. Both from Mobilicity.

Those issues happen from time to time. For whatever reason, 1 out of 10 or so MMS messages, times out, and I need to re-send it. That's been the only issue. But they all go through eventually. That's about the only 'issue' I've had with MMS. Destination Service provider doesn't matter either.

Don't have the issues on an N900 or E73.

Ottawa MMS on BB is down right now... i've never had problems before, but I haven't been able to send MMS all day....
Managed to get Mobilicity to act and improve on 4 items.

Maybe it's related to the software version? What build are you using? I've never had problems with MMS on my unlocked 9900 on Mobilicity.

When I got the phone it was on .29x.... (can't remember) It was a disaster, so I looked around and read that .342 was good.

Tried .342 and it was an even bigger disaster.

Then, I went to mobi's release... tried it for a day and had nothing but MMS problems.

Finally, I was told to go down to .318. It has solved all the problems I had before... except battery life is still not even close to being on par with my 9780...

so, for the most part, everything is good... I don't know how much of the MMS problem had to do with the phone or with Mobi considering quickinferno's update.

As a side note, on the 9780, the killer os, by far, was .666 and then mobi's own release of .650. If I could get this 9900 to that level of reliability and efficiency, I'd be a happy camper. Otherwise, I'm beginning to see why everyone has written off BB...
