I was also getting edge like speeds, it kinda made wanna port somewhere else but I seen this thread. I went to their website chat service and left them a message because they take forever for their live chat, I left them a message around 4pm yesterday and when I got out of class at 6pm I was already getting H+ speeds.

Update!! My service was good for a couple of days, now its back to edge speed. This really sucks, the website live chat is even offline, so I'm gonna have to give them a call. This is unacceptable, it seems like there is throttling going on.

There's a nationwide problem in certain areas with AT&T/mvno with data. So could explain the problem with your data. But your not getting throttled. I had rp for a long time before switching to st. And never had one problem with data

I was on the 250 minute plan for several months and never had any minutes "stolen". I'm now on 49 plan and data speeds are great. It's also relatively painless (online chat) to switch plans if,like me, you have some months where you need more minutes or data.

I tried it and burned through 10 dollars really quick and all my settings were correct. Not sure if this is a "general problem"...but was enough to scare me away. Went with Air Voice and have had no similar problems.

I used the online chat, and they found that they charged me minutes to call 611, when it is supposed to be a free call. I placed a complaint last week, and was supposed to get those minutes back, and i have yet to see them. Only issue I have with Airvoice is that i could not get a local number, but figure i can port over a local number off Redpocket, or Tracfone if i decide to stay with AV. reception has been good, and CS has been great. I find RedPockets CS to be worse than Tracfone.

You will get a text saying you are violated the T+C of using ST, then they will shut your phone off, and you will lose your number. It's like playing a game of chance, some get shut off, and some use 5GB+ without issue.

Shut off is insane. They shold just block the data if over used and re-open next month. Or allow customer option to review immediately and start another 30 days cycle.

T-Mo has 5G $30 plan, they throttle to edge when over 5G. But T-Mo's prepiad coverage sucks. ( post paid sucks too )

They should but dont according to the forums. only reason i'm considering ST for myself is the $30 plan, because i do not want data.

Now it seems St is throttling and not shutting off. But we are still testing this as people are getting able to get throttled off, some Have to wait til then end of their cycle

In this case I will in debate...

    1. T-Mo. $30 5G with spotty coverage and sometimes no coverage at all.
    2. ST $45 2G with better coverage.

Maybe #2 is not an option since I have HTC Amaze (T-Mobile version), not sure it can get alone with ATT HSPDA+ or not. I know they use different frequency, needs to check Amaze spect to know better.
