    Niagara Expansion?

Just happened to notice that 289-931 in St. Catharines had been assigned to Public Mobile. Are they planning on expanding down into the peninsula in the not-too-distant future?

I missed that article in the Advance. Either way it looks interesting. I wonder how far south they're planning on going into the region, as it would be nice to have most of the peninsula covered rather than just the core cities.

Check out the coverage map, looks like they updated it to include all the way to Niagara Falls.

Good on Public. I've been harsh on them in the past but they're proving their critics wrong. They still have a long way to go with network and phone quality but they're kicking Mobilicity to the curb with expansion and subscriber growth. I used to have some respect for Mobilicity but their recent lack of expansion, data woes and apparent subscriber contraction proves that their upper management have no clue what they're doing.

Never thought I'd ever say this but way to go Public!

It makes sense they expand to border as it also encourages users to generate them roaming revenue while shopping.
Publics phone selection is lacking but quality of network so far has been alot better than Wind/Mobi so hopefully they keep growing.
It is sad I need to state the obvious but some people just don't get it. Any posts I make are my own OPINIONS and in no way represent the views of my employer

I've found Public Mobile interesting in that they haven't ever really competed with Wind/Mobilicity's pricing wars.

Majority of their plans are bare-bone in that almost everything is an add-on, even the most expensive plans, all their offers are only for a limited time, they run off CDMA with mediocre at best phones, yet they still don't have a care for the competition.

I've never even considered signing up with Public myself, and, to be honest, never expected them to do this well. I still won't sign up, but it's nice to see them around, and offering service to those who see value in it.

Mobilicity will, apparently, expand "soon". There is not definition of "soon", so it could be anything, really. Data may see improvements, as they have been updating their towers/backhaul. I do have agree with subscriber numbers - they don't look very healthy. Constant promos, half-off deals, phone discounts, etc. are clear signs of desperation on Mobilicity's side as it comes to customer acquisition and retention. They are "attracting" a lot of customers, but how many of those customers actually stay longer than a month?

All in all, good for Public!
    Keep it up!
