If you had to guess how many times did you switch? I've switched quite a few times lately

Just wanted to put it out there, that Verizon has a maximum number allowance for switching phones on the same number per billing period. I have been switching between an Iphone and Maxx on the same phone number, and the last time I tried to switch again, they said that I have hit the maximum switches for the billing period and will need to wait.
Thought some of you would like to know.

They said the magic number is 20. However I don't recall that many switches on my end, more like 15, but I didn't keep count either.
Good to know what the limit is. I shouldn't have any problems staying under 20. I generally switch on heavy rain days.
Anyone know if this affects just swapping the SIM card between LTE devices or only when switching 3g to 3g and lte to 3g?

Are you having to buy a new SIM card every time you go back to the MAXX? Or are you getting them free at a corporate store?
Actually I did not have to replace my 4g sim card at all, according to a rep they have a new sim policy where it does not retire until 30 days. Which made it convenient to switch between phones like I did.
Cool, I was unaware of that policy change.
Does anyone know of a way around the maximum phone change per billing cycle? Customer Care says it is a system limitation and there is no work around. I would assume that someway there is something that can be done? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
You would assume wrongly then. I mean, I'm sure someone with more zeroes in their paycheck that I have who works directly in the back end systems could probably do something about it... but you know the odds are of that person actually A) being accessible and B) making an exception for 1 consumer customer? If you answered "Snowballs chance in hell" you'd be pretty accurate.
Though tbh - this is the first time I've ever heard of someone running afoul of that type of limit.
Yeah, change your phone number. This also gets you around the maximum suspend/reconnect limit.

I'm just burning with curiosity, well not really, but I do want to know.... why would you change your phones back and forth so many times in a billing cycle, that you'd bump up against this limit? I can imagine scenarios where I'd change it a couple of times in a month, esp if all you had to do was flip the sim card.
I didn't swap just phones during the billing period, from what I have been told its a combination of any adjustments made to the account to a max of 20.
Would it make any difference if I were to pay my bill in advance? Maybe allowing me to make another switch?
