Why the hell would you need to save anywhere near 10,000 texts?
This confusion can easily be avoided if you pronounce the word intended aloud. If it has a voiced Z sound, then it’s “lose.” If it has a hissy S sound, then it’s “loose.” Here are examples of correct usage: “He tends to lose his keys.” “She lets her dog run loose.”

    Loose
not rigidly fastened or securely attached

    Lose
to miss from one's possession or from a customary or supposed place

Also, just because a word has an "s" at the end, doesn't mean it needs an apostrophe.

    I have >5,300

It's because of threaded messaging, so I save everything. I think I lost them all once, otherwise it would probably be more.

Since most people have emails on their phones nowadays I find myself just emailing them instead. Gives you more options and less limits of a text message.

My suggestion would be to back up everything to your computer and reload the latest OS that has been approved by your carrier. You could always load an unapproved OS version for your phone if you like though, although you're doing that at your own risk.

The demands being placed on the old BBOS code base are just too much. I was quite fed up with the 9300 with OS5 and 6 (but I really enjoyed my 8100 with OS4). The platform is really just at the end.

Fortunately, QNX has no such problems. I'll occasionally have to reboot my PlayBook due to memory bleed issues, but that only affects multitasking - I can at least finish whatever I'm doing that's important and then reboot. Nothing remotely as frustrating as on my Curve.

I went ahead and bought a Lumia 710, which I figure will serve me fine until a BB10 phone gets released, and I'll buy one after the first price drop. Might be a bit hard to swallow, but I do think it will end up OK in the long run.
The word 'Pentaband' means '5 Bands', from the Greek word 'pente' meaning '5'. For a phone to be pentaband it has to support 5 bands. If the phone has AWS support, it doesn't automatically mean that it is pentaband. The reason Wind and Mobilicity users like pentaband phones is because the reverse is true. We're not the only ones who like pentaband phones though, so please stop referring to phones that work on Wind and Mobilicity as pentaband. It causes unnecessary cofusion.
