That was announced a while ago, and Wind hated it. Apparently, if accurate or not, won't give enough to the new guys to make a proper 4G network nationwide, and the fact it lets the big 3 hoard even more specturm even though they have more then enough to do a nationwide 4g network.

But it's the Conservatives, I'm amazed they didn't just flat out give the spectrum for free to the big 3 at a photo op while accepting a big bag with a dollar sign on it as a personal gift.

That doesnt make sense. Wind HATED IT?! This benefits wind the most. They can use all their money power against other new entrants!! Why will wind hate it?! PM and Mobi should have hated it, not wind.

    I am confused.

Because apparently WIND has to spend money to acquire spectrum, and um like Tony, is um so not down for that. He told Sally at the mall like, there wasn't any way he was going to be ripped off. Then he called his daddy, like uncle, or whatever in egypt, who had to pass him along to that thing in russia or what-eves.

Anyways, the dude cried and was like, this ain't fair for this shiznit and wants canada to give him a new car and free everything he points at.

    Totally not happy with this.

How dare you disrespect Tony he is your leader! He wants everything handed to him, and he wants free spectrum for his beach-front property duh.

Which is why it's important further for customers to voice concerns actively against WIND while they still care, before they're too big for you to not matter. Fanboys are the most damaging in these early stages.
Actually his argument kind of doesn't make sense. The rules only opened for carries under 10% market share (I believe). After carriers achieve the 10% they have to play by the rules like everyone else. So Its only meant to give the carrier a start not to be a continuous thing.
    Just loving it.

What do you mean? The foreign owner does not have to divest their Canadian operations once they surpass 10%....they could grow beyond the 10% threshold and still be completely foreign owned.

Technically couldn't a foriegn owned company that has grown past 10% split into 2 companies, using the same towers, to get more foreign investment. For example, split pre-paid customers and post-paid into seperate businesses. Technically they would be seperate entities but owned by the same people. Just have to convince the CRTC. Loop holes ftw!
When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all.

Um.. they dont NEED TO!. Any foreign company who grows beyond that 10%, without buying any other company can keep their 100% share on that company. They dont need to fork. They can invest as they want.
