I got the email as well about 10 minutes ago. I called customer service and it was confirmed that pre-authorized payment is set up properly on my account. A ticket was initiated for the back office to intervene. Apparently I will get my credit within 5 business days.

Ugh, I got a rep who was completely useless
He was able to tell me my PAP was set up properly then asked when I signed up for it, so I said the 6th or 7th and then again 20 minutes ago and he put me and hold then said I wasn't eligible for the credit because I didn't set it up at the right time........
So I mentioned the e-mail and he had no idea and refused to check or acknowledge that the e-mail THEY sent out said there was still a chance if you have it set up by tomorrow midnight......

Save the email, call back and insist that you should get the $30. Have cs open a ticket. Be firm as that will be your proof of enquiry and prior to the time window noted in the email.
The stupid cs I spoke to was simpleton enough to tell me to just ignore the email because my PAC was properly set up already. I asked him to put it in writing in the system and he opened a ticket. I expect that this is not the end of the issue for me.

I did not get an e-mail of the sort, but this inspires confidence that I'll still get the credit even though I couldn't sign up for PAP until the next day.

ok as I said I got this email as well and I just signed up for PAP (June 22, 2012) -- so how much should I wait for the credit to be applied to my account?

According to the documentation, the wait was supposed to be 30 days. Obviously, a major first step is for the broken system to acknowledge that the terms have been met.

Not mine, and the billing cycle just ended a few days ago. I called in this weekend and they said they'd send it to the back office.
