Who wants a feature phone on BT?

Once again VM's pricing structure on handsets has me totally confounded.

The PCD Venture may not be much of a handset, but it *does* have Android, and I'm sure it is a decent, entry-level Android phone. It's $80.

    OR

You can buy a nearly obsolete, but-at-least-it-has-a-touchscreen Rumor Touch for the same dough.

    OR

You can buy a ridiculously obsolete Rumor 2 for $10 more.

Anybody care to attempt to make sense of this??

Don't forget the Venture (PCD, not HTC, btw) comes with a $45 aircard right now, effectively making it about $35.

The PCD Venture makes the Samsung Intercept look like a World Class device.
While this may be true, when it first came out the Intercept was/is a solid device. When flashed with UD6 it ran much more predictably than the POS Triumph. Especially within the context of being the first Android available on a prepaid carrier.

    VM Journey= LG Rumor2>Samsung Intercept UD6>Motorola Triumph CM7 TG-Reloaded>HTC Evo V?

The almost 2 year old Intercept is still a much better phone than the PCD VENTURE. The Ventures screen and keyboard are next to unusable.

Yea the feature phone touch screens are a nice idea but alas their touch screens are some of the worst out there. They probably have lots of stock to sell though.
