It's back down to 99 cents again.
After I heard about AT&T giving up.

The last two phones that I had with T-Mobile, I got it free. Find a corporate store and let them activate. I ported my number to Google Voice so I don't care what phone number the store gives me. They only charged the price of the plan plus sales tax. Last month I got a new phone and went to a non corporate store and they tried to charge me $35.00 just for the activation kit. When I said it was $1.99 online. They were like this is what we charge. Went to the corporate store by my house and got it free with my monthly plan.

Thanks SnowyWhite I just ordered one. I have no idea what I'm going to do with it. I haven't had my T-Mo phone turned on in months. But for .99 cents ($buck .07 with tax) I figger...well I'll have it in case.

Since it comes with $3.34 on it, you can chose to use the $2 plan one day for unlimited talk, text and web at 2G speeds then the use the $1 a day plan for unlimited texting and have 34 cents left over, make a 1 minute call.

That is probably what I will do.

well, the problem is that the corporate store can't sell the wal-mart plan. Period. So if you want that, you have to acquire an activation kit somehow and then activate over the web or at wal-mart.

We went into a T Mobile store a few weeks ago and asked about the Sim Card and was told that it is free at the store- just bring a compatible unlocked phone in and they will put in the sim card and activate the phone in a no contract plan for free. It is worth checking out - free and no waiting.

Sure they will--as long as they have a plan you want to be on.

The stores don't have ALL the plans, though.
