Will the One V have the same connectivity as the EVO V? Apparently it is not 4G... what is the point of buying a new phone that can't connect to the 4G network... the One V says 3g and Wifi capable. it does not say Wimax... should this be an instant deal breaker?
Many do not have decent or any access to 4g anyhow and being that Wimax is being phased out shortly I am not enthusiastic about the "4g" aspect until maybe the LTE stuff starts coming out.

Keep in mind that there are many, many people who do not live or work in the relatively tiny, 4G WiMax coverage area. We have WiMax coverage in 71 cities and that's it - that footprint will not be expanding.
Plus, even if you are one of the people who live or work in a WiMax city, you still need to check the VM USA 4G coverage maps for your home and work addresses because you may not even be able to get a 4G signal when you are indoors.
Spending extra money for a 4G phone doesn't make economic sense if you can't get a 4G signal. The One V will be a fine choice for lots of people.

Sprint is committed to supporting customers with WiMax devices through 2015, so WiMax isn't being phased out any time soon.
I wouldn't expect Virgin Mobile and Boost to get access to LTE for quite a while. I'll guess that VM and Boost customers won't get access to LTE for at least one year after it becomes available to Sprint brand customers (if not longer) and I expect the monthly cost for pre-paid LTE services to be at least $10 per month higher than what we're paying now. I wouldn't be surprised if VM and Boost customers had to wait until close to the end of 2015 when Sprint's wholesale contract with Clearwire comes to an end. That's all just speculation, though. We'll just have to wait and see, but we might be waiting a couple of years.
Someone in another thread claims to have picked one up in Chicago. They didn't mention the store. Would anyone have the DPCI # for this phone? I would like to use the Target Inventory Checker to see if it is my area. Thanks!
"Hey, lets release a decent HTC phone the same day as we release the iPhone...but lets not advertise the HTC at all...we'll just tell people we don't know if we're releasing it, and then the day we release it, we'll put it on the website and go back to advertising the iphone! Great idea!"
Awesome. Now I want to wait until someone braver (richer) than myself buys it and reports the findings here to determine if I should switch my MT in $25/mo. for this phone.
