That's only because Lord Tony said prepaid sucks and we shouldn't care about the.
Admittedly, I was thinking about what tony said when I saw Telus was abandoning Prepaid subscribers (further).
    Nevermind Bell.. LTE is fine.

It's a move like any other, devalue the prepaid proposition to entice the consumer to want more on the post-paid level.

Definitely. I just think when Wind and Mobi are offering the exact same plans for either pay before or after, its kind of a stupid move.
This is just going to backfire on them when the new guys get their networks functioning better.
Postpaid or prepaid, a customer is a customer, and money is money.

Then you missed the unlimited incoming part, this plan will easily take customers from Wind, easily

Unlimited incoming =! Unlimited any time minutes.

Fact is for 90% of Canada this plan will be a better option, because they get a better network, and better handset selection, and the iPhone which is loved in Canada. Not saying this plan is equal just saying it's a better option than Wind for many. Compare new sub numbers after this quarter bet Wind tales far behind.

Fair - but I think a lot of people, (including myself) would consider switching for better data speeds (especially on the upstream), a much bigger coverage area, and better building penetration.

I'm on the old HMP - the plan itself is amazing on paper. However, the data speeds have been really poor for me lately (downtown TO, Dundas and University). I can live with getting from 1-3 Mb down, but getting 0.1 Mb up (and frequently worse) is unacceptable. Hell, with Koodo's decent HSPA+ network, I could use my SIP account if I ever had the urge to talk on the phone for hours on end!

So people are just going to not notice the extra $12 a month (assuming you want voice mail)?

    Meh.....not the same.
