Personaly....I just can't wait for it to start. I know I'm not the only soccer fan on these forums, and I'm sure alot of members do come from different parts of Europe. Even though this may not relate to anything wireless, but soccer is an international symphony. It unites people from all walks of life.
So anyways just thought I'd post my favourites and dark horses.
Netherlands and Germany are my picks, but Spain cud do it again.
Russia and France are my surprise teams. Although this time around the Hosts look abit weak, I can't rule either Ukraine or Poland to do well.
Again I think England will be the biggest dissappointment with Portugal. Alot of talents.....
Players that may do really well cud be the likes of
Van Persie-Holland
Miroslav Klose-Germany
Andrei shevchenko-Ukraine
Cesc Fabregas-Spain
Cristiano Ronaldo-Portugal
I don't really have a verdict on Italy as they are very unpredictable. Sorry guys but I think this time around there are just too many better teams.
But I really feel France and Russia can be the biggest surprises.
Germany over Netherlands in the final, Germans have wealth of young legs with talent and the right mix of experienced players as well. Player to watch Meizut Ozeil he's a genius at making plays out of nothing.

I got to agree with u. Germany are solid, and it won't be easy as they do have a tough group.
I might have spoken too early.. Looks like a big upset happening rite now between Netherlands and Denmark.
This will really twist things around....and the Danes have always played well against Portugal.
It will definately be interesting.
Denmark just won 1-0 over Netherlands, and it was a good game as far as I'm concerned.
Personally, Germany is solid but I feel like Russia is going to be a wild card this year. I'm also looking forward to watching Ukraine!

I must say I might have spoken too early. Netherlands did not impress me as much as i like them. I think Arjen Robben is their biggest weakness even though commentators kept on harping how he was their best player. I believe the formation that Netherlands play, their wingers need to distribute rather than look to score. Van Persie definately had chances but the amount of possession Robben got, he really didn't do much....even that post that he hit, he cud have easily passed it to Van Persie for an easy tap in. Even in the Champions League finals, I believe his play costed Bayern Munich the championship. His one dimensional thinking really takes away the qualities of the rest of the players as he hardly gets them involved when he has the ball. No doubt he is a great player, but him playing with great strikers, he shud be looking to distribute than score.
Anyways, it will be very difficult for Netherlands even though its still early in the tourny. I can't see Portugal losing all 3 games. Maybe 4 points shud do it. This might be one of those groups where the points might be identical when it ends. It might just come down to calculations outside of the points....
I can't believe there are no Italian fans here, or maybe they are waiting for todays shocking result.............
