If T-Mobile was doing their job well, they should have retired Zimmerman's number originally and not handed it out to someone new. What did they think was going to happen to a number that was publicized everywhere?

T-Mobile should take responsibility for their misdeed and settle with Mr. Guy.

Absolutely. Humm is personally responsible for this travesty. He deserves his own Nuremberg. You have great insight. If you are on Twitter, I would follow you since HoFo doesn't have this feature.

A convicted drug trafficker want a payout from T-Mobile. big shock there! One phone call to 611 and the issue would have been resolved. Who just keeps letting people call him, harassing him? It was a new # to him! Not a big deal, but I'm not shocked the anti T-Mobile poster wants T-Mobile to give the drug trafficker a financial payout for something no other person would be stupid enough to ask for.

There is no evidence that Mr. Guy is currently a drug trafficker as you indicate. Mr. Guy paid his debt to a society for offenses committed over 19 years ago.

Regardless, his record has nothing to do with T-Mobile's wrongdoing nor does it absolve them of any liability in re-issuing the number.

I suppose Mr. Zimmerman walked into the store and canceled his account himself. And even if he didn't, surely he is the only "George Zimmerman" on the books. You're absolutely right, they should have known. Probably had a picture on the phone of the victim so they definitely should have known.

    Wow are you SERIOUS?

They did not give him the same phone for starters.... because that's not how it works.
If anything that phone is in evidence right now.

What probably happened here is the guy went to jail, his bill was not paid, and the number went back into the pool
and was given to this guy who now expects to cash out.

    Get real!
Change the number and move on.

Uh yeah. When T-Mobile received all of the subpoenas for call logs, text messages, voice mails, billing records, etc., from multiple law enforcement agencies due to it being a high profile case, maybe someone realizes that it would be wise to retire that number or at least suspend it indefinitely.

But of course they didn't, they send it the number back out to be assigned. And then they don't bother to settle with the new customer. Now everyone knows that they were George Zimmerman's cell phone provider. There's an image builder right there.

The real question here is why did Zimmerman call Sean Hannity on that phone. Just shooting the breeze? I think not. I'll bet he was fishing for a pat on the back from his hero Sean for doing a good job... Or perhaps he just has a crush on Mr Hannity, umm, no that's not it.

Of course; that's why some of the responses are so, mmm, what's the right word? Thanks for spelling out what actually happened, seriously.

So, how you liking your Rezound? I'm thinking of adding a tmo acct.
